Performance Upgrade confirmation?

Hi Folks... new guy shopping for an R1S. I found a used Gen 2 that states "R1S Performance Dual Max" on the center display / About page. Stupid question... this validates that it does have the Performance Upgrade, right?

If it came from the factory with the performance software it'll say "performance dual"

If it was upgraded after purchase, it'll say "performance upgrade" at the bottom of the page.

But they are identical, whether from the factory or purchased later. Purely just a software update

Yes and there will be a sport mode on the mode selector screen.

As well as rally and sand off road modes. The factory one will also have a small black stripe on the back.

Nice, I only knew that the quads had a yellow stripe and the others did "not." Is the standard truck a silver stripe or no stripe?

Silver would be a factory non performance dual motor. Yellow is the Gen 1 quad and trimotor. Blue the Gen 2 quad.

They are making all blackout lettering on the new ones. Not sure what that means.

Not sure if this was true or not for Gen 1, but my Gen 2 has a black stripe and was purchased without performance. I bought it after taking delivery

The blackout package is just an appearance thing that blacks out all of the badging on the vehicle, as well as the chrome halo on the R1S. It is an option on all vehicles. The blacktout package is included as standard on Ascend trims (tri and quad), but buyers can opt to have silver badging too
