Pick up truck tomorrow in NY hoping for one that doesn’t have to go right back for alignment or other issues harder to decipher at walk around. First EV so excited to figure it all out. Wish me luck 🍀

All the best. Dont worry about things before they happen. My '23 was fine and the SC said to drive the crap out of it for a week and let them know if I find anything. Focus on enjoying the car. Wishing you many miles and many smiles.

As someone who is taking delivery of a R1S Tri on Thursday, 8/21, I really appreciate the positive comments here. It is easy to get overwhelmed in the forum by the negatives. Congratulations to the OP on their new vehicle.

Picked up Truck Monday and got thorough overview. Truck seems perfect and love driving it so far. Don’t have home charger installed yet so some range issues but should be in this week. Can’t wait to learn as I go.
appreciate the comments here guys.

Good luck on pickup day tomorrow. There is a lot to these puppies so take it slow and ask any questions while you are at center. I feel smarter when I figure out a simple question so ego boost for old dog new tricks.

Keep in mind that more people will come on the forum to raise their concerns vs those enjoying their cars. I'm here to learn because this is my first EV. With all the doom and gloom in the world, I cant blame anyone for being negative though.

I definitely do not blame anyone expressing their concerns, issues, and general feelings on the forum. After all, that is one of the chief purposes of this site, to vent, commiserate, and draw upon the knowledge and experience of others. As you alluded, the ratio of dissatisfaction to satisfaction naturally skews high on any forum, and it is easy to forget that and get overwhelmed by the negative sentiment.

This is not my first EV and I enter into my Rivian experience with my eyes wide open. However, I know the odds are better than not that I will have a relatively trouble-free experience. That’s what I’m hoping for of course, but only time will tell. I reiterate my thanks to all of the supportive posters out there.

I am expecting mine any day or week now. (Ordered on 7//26) so love your comments. have owned several tesla's and hoping this one meets or beats my expectations. Did they spent plenty of time with you at the pick up?

As for my experience, yes, my delivery representative spent over an hour with us. They scheduled the appointment for 4r minutes, but we showed up early and he started right away. He was very patient setting both of us up with our PAAK, stepping through the software, and getting our memory settings dialed in. He also did a complete walk-around familiarization with the vehicle. We had to check on some of the accessories, some were with the vehicle and some will be mailed.

Unfortunately, I have my first service request submitted after 89 miles. There’s a bit of a funky chattering coming from what appears to be the front left suspension. My appointment is in two weeks.

This. There's an ex-SC employee on Reddit who makes a similar comment; if you get through the first two weeks issue free, the odds are good.

OP for the record, my Gen 1 was good and my Gen 2 has been great 2 months in. Enjoy the experience!
