No so much saber rattling from the US as much as it's a scream for help from the democratically elected leadership in Ukraine who wants to be more European. That said, Russia's actions; and the EU and UK imposing sanctions probably has more effect than anything the US is doing (for now).

As of this moment, since Russia is insignificant in terms of Supply Chain, manufacturing and economic importance; it shouldn't impact deliveries. Now if China makes move on Taiwan, then all bets are off...
My reference to the US interfering in the Ukraine border skirmishes with Russia was the price of $RIVN, not chips or supply side economics. Rivian could report 300 units or 100 units and the $RIVN price will follow whatever the market does in reaction to near term fear and uncertainty (all of which will disappear in the next massive government-funded rally.)

You think this is a ”border skirmish”?

An understatement to illustrate the disproportionate response from the USA lunging at any opportunity for perpetual war and perennial empire expansion.

While the US deserves certain criticism for its forever wars, we are neither the antagonist here, nor the imperialist. Similarly, though Ukraine is not our war to fight, until early this morning, they were a sovereign nation of eastern Europe, and the eastern flank of our European and NATO allies. No one likes this, but you may want to support whatever economic sanctions we and our allies can muster, so we do not end up in a larger military conflict.

Certain criticism?
It's too complex for a car enthusiast forum; suffice to say a century of conflict and differences will not be resolved this time, so hopefully there's no more military engagement than the border regions between Ukraine and Russia. The lives of the dozens already lost in the last 24-48 hours should not be another 9/11 excuse to send millions to their graves.

It's imminent. And we no longer have a wildcard at the helm here in the US, so China expects no significant retaliation.

I heard a stock market commentator (tastytrade) mention that China is aware that an attempt on Taiwan will be met with financial retaliation (as has happened effectively in the past, this was in trading the stock markets, not government "sanctions") and will not upset its global commerce to take Taiwan by force.
Also that Reuters report characterize those nine Chinese aircraft as "usual and smaller than usual" – apparently China sends war planes across Taiwan on a daily basis and this "activity" is not seen as a precursor to war or invasion or whatever the hell they would do to try to control a population that thinks of itself as Taiwanese, not Chinese. For now, China's dictatorship appears satisfied with political labels and propaganda (such as "apologies" when famous people "mistakenly" refer to Taiwan as a country in the face of China … madness.)

What's Mandarin for "contractual obligation"? : )
John Cena is a great entertainer … a shame to see him under the corporate thumb.
* he's hilarious in Peacemaker (which is surely designed to be future cult classic.)

So, anyways, the stock has more to drop before climbs again. That is, of course, if you believe in earnings based valuations which clearly the market doesn't,

Its going to be disappointing. I plan on selling all my stock before market close on the 10th.
I was planning to buy a bunch more on the 11th.

11th or 14th might be a good time to buy back in. Reaction to earnings reports usually only last a day or two, Facebook being a recent exception.

If $RIVN had anywhere lower to sell, today was the day. 250 point sell-off in the S&P, $TSLA touched $700 …
