R1S Charging Pad Cycling

When I place my phone on the charging pad, it constantly keeps cycling on and off even though the phone is not fully charged. Very annoying to keep hearing the beep when it starts charging. Anyone else have this problem?

Phone case? If yes, is it not a thinner phone case?

I had that problem in my Gen 1 R1S, but I subsequently replaced the whole charging pad with an aftermarket pad and drawer (the pad has two MagLock chargers built in) and that is not an issue now. I assume the problem was that the original pad just allowed the phone to slide off the charging surface too often. I cannot recall where I got the aftermarket pad, but it is someone on this forum.

The cycling on and off means that the coils are not properly aligned. Didn't work well in my Gen 1 and doesn't work well in my Gen 2....

I have the exact same problem and it’s super annoying! Interested in the aftermarket options.

I solved my charging pad cycling problem. I unplugged it. I rarely need to charge my phone and if I do I will use the cable. Now I also don't need to worry about placing my wallet and credit cards on the charging pad.
