I am experiencing significant energy issues with my 2025 R1S Dual Performance Max so I am reaching out to the Forum.
ISSUE 1
Manufacturer's spec for energy consumption is 410 miles (range estimate) ÷ 141 kWh (battery capacity) = 2.9 mi / kWh. I confirmed this with Rivian Service support.
I am getting 1.87 mi / kWh. Photo attached for reference. Trip A is total vehicle mileage (never reset). Rivian Service is looking into the issue.
ISSUE 2
Manufacturer's spec for Rivian Level 2 charger energy supply is 11.5 kW up to 25 mi per hour charge rate.
Since put into service, historically, I am averaging around 2 to 4 kW per hour charge rate on all charges large or small no matter what time of day. This is taking way too long. Photo attached for reference. Majority of charging is during the 22:00 - 14:00 charging schedule that I have set to take advantage of utility company's least expensive rates. Rivian Service advised me to contact the Manufacturer because the charger is not covered by Rivian Service.
BACKGROUND
Owned vehicle and charger since August 2024. Driven approximately 2800 miles in All Purpose mode on Southern California freeways and local roads. Parked in a comfortable garage 99% of time when not driving. Rivian Level 2 charger installed inside garage by licensed, professional electrician per Manufacturer's instructions. Charged to Manufacturer's recommended 70% limit about once per week, sometimes less frequently.
Love my R1S but I am dismayed by the confounding performance I am getting from vehicle and charger.
Thank you in advance for input / assistance.
