Hello everyone, looking for someone who has access to service manuals about changing front left axle seal and drive unit refill. I do see that oil been leaking heavily and I wiped everything out to check later where exactly comming from, but probably it's seal.

Unlucky I purchased vehicle from auction and it didn't pass Rivian Salvage inspection because of air pressure leak in HV battery (incident didn't affect battery at all and I been negatively surprised). Since paying 27k for refurbished battery is not option at all for me at this point, I will need to do service on my own.

I have found this thread but seems it's for the Gen 1 while I need it for Gen 2.
Thanks for any suggestions upfront 🤗

Rivian charges a subscription for their repair manuals. That would be your best bet for an out of warranty repair.

I would still ask Rivian service to inspect the leak and provide an estimate.

Or does Rivian refuse to even bring it in? In this case I would be looking for a certified shop.

I considered to purchase manuals too but 2500 per year just for manuals would be reasonable only for 3P shop which can make this money back, so looking for someone who might has it already and want to sell few specific manuals for much lower price.

Rivian will not work on the vehicle until it will not pass their salvage inspection (1000 $), they even will not connect their RiDE software to calibrate new computers.

Yeas 3p service sounds reasonable but in my area(I've called ~7 different ones) most if them certified only for the Amazon rivian trucks and some do only body repairs.

The funny part that you can purchase even RiDE software for (~5k $ per year) and still will not been able to work on high-voltage battery and programming modules related to vehicle access.
