Coming back from skiing, on I-70 just near the mouth of the Eisenhower Tunnel, all of a sudden a loud chunk chunk chunk was heard/felt in the front end. Pulled over immediately thinking there was a chunk of ice or debris caught up, didn't see anything underneath, wouldn't go away with slow back and forth at the pull out, went into turtle mode. Luckily husband and third kid were behind us, and we were able to pile all of the ski gear into the R1, and people into his car. Roadside service was helpful (after I pushed a little because the tow distance to the service center was so far, and they wanted to wait 48 hours or more to get the tow truck... I told them it wasn't in a safe spot and CDOT would tow before then). Got it towed, and after a little research I correctly diagnosed the issue (thank you Forums!) as did the Service Center independently. They got me uber credits and a rental, fixed it by thursday. Mostly posting this because it sounds as if this was an old issue but didn't see that anyone had it happen on the Gen2. Service center was really nice and we really lucked out that we had two cars. Also, pro tip, when driving out of town, keep one of your key cards with you to send with the tow!
