And the hunt continues....My guide told me 15 minutes ago that no Ocean Coast interiors have been made, although some Forest Edge have been. He is in Normal.

Drive it like you stole it ?Spoke to my guide today. I had very low expectations so everything went as expected. He’s new to Rivian and knew very little about what pre-order reservation holders have been through with comms and delays in the past couple of years.
He all but confirmed that the info he had was a Q&A script he read from which gets updated ~ once a week. He said they are expecting an update to their script re: Ocean Coast and Forest edge interior this week announcing some kind of delay and options to switch to black mountain to speed up delivery.
I asked him since we are local to HQ in Orange County if we could at least get a home test drive of the R1T (we have a R1S reservation) and he said he thinks he can get that scheduled in the next 2 weeks.
No other information gained. I felt like I could spend an hour+ on the phone with him giving him a company overview & orientation which he seemed to be lacking.
Unrelated......I think not. You should end every comment you make on any post with that last paragraph.I got that today too after talking with my guide, but that was for my R1T (yes I switched to the R1T lol). I don't think that's the 8-step PBA they're talking about though. I think that's just locking in your configuration, and then you sign it to confirm what you talked about with your guide.
Unrelated, but I should receive my truck with week or early next! I'm so excited!
It does feel like the guides know less about the vehicles than a majority of the forum members on here.Spoke to my guide today. I had very low expectations so everything went as expected. I think that says more about us than them ?It does feel like the guides know less about the vehicles than a majority of the forum members on here.
We should become guides. Might even get us faster delivery. It does feel like the guides know less about the vehicles than a majority of the forum members on here.
Congrats! I’d sure like my PBA too!I also signed my PBA today. R1S LE 01/19, Rivian Blue, 20"AT, BM, offroad package (or whatever it's called now).
Both R1S’s with the first known PBA’s to this forum are configured with Rivian Blue… coincidence?I also signed my PBA today. R1S LE 01/19, Rivian Blue, 20"AT, BM, offroad package (or whatever it's called now).
Not sure if in this forum, but there is a confirmed PBA in White for Ohio. Both R1S’s with the first known PBA’s to this forum are configured with Rivian Blue… coincidence?
Man you just ruined my night! J/K, glass half full at least they are delivering here in the MidWest. Not sure if in this forum, but there is a confirmed PBA in White for Ohio.
I’m stoked for everyone moving forward!! Exciting times. Good things come to those that wait, said my mother.Man you just ruined my night! J/K, glass half full at least they are delivering here in the MidWest.
Yeah, I don't know how they're choosing this stuff. I talked to my guide at 1pm and he made it sound like I'd have a wait before I got the PBA, then it showed up in my email at 5:30pm. Ironically I have NEVER been invited to a test drive here, although I was for New York about a month ago. Bizarre.Congrats! I’d sure like my PBA too!
What I understood from our guide:I got that today too after talking with my guide, but that was for my R1T (yes I switched to the R1T lol). Congrats! That was kind of how it was for us, too. Hence why I was so surprised to hear... nobody else on the forum had their PBA yet. Same deal for us on the test drive, but I've been lucky to see the R1T a few places over the past couple of years and at least knew what we were signed up for. Flip a coin toss on who recieves theirs first? ?Yeah, I don't know how they're choosing this stuff. Congrats! I'll admit that's pretty curious to me. Very similar configuration to mine and in the same location, only you ordered a bit after I did... hopefully the 22' wheels aren't all of a sudden a problem.I also signed my PBA today.
