More Kick Turn and RAD Tuner demos. These media people get all the cool toys!
Yeah. Makes me annoyed on behalf of the G2 quad owners who don't have the features yet.
As a G1 owner I just finally accepted the fact I won’t get tank turn.

I LOVE the look on the driver's face starting at about 6:45. The passenger is trying to make some point or another, but the driver is completely ignoring him because he's having an absolute blast piloting the beast up the snow covered trail. Best advertising Rivian could hope for, IMO.

It makes me worry that Rivian is heading the way of Ferrari and others - where the cars supplied to the media are tuned differently than consumer cars. Now I appreciate a bit of a leap in some ways, but they are standing at the top of a slippery slope here. Note none of these reviews are talking about carkey support, meaning that whatever software they are on is not the upcoming release - or they have been briefed not to talk about it - which would be super weird.

Scorpion tires. Curious how a gen1 R1s would do with Michelin X snows.
Yes, I noticed that as well. But, with those conditions, I do wonder if a set of MT Baja Boss ATs would be even better. If nothing else it could throw some amazing rooster-tails!

They probably just got handed key fobs for vehicle access. Rivian also doesn't have to test every feature in every build, the software can be somewhat segmented.

Oh yeah, well aware it’s probably a feature flagged thing - just starting to feel pretty disingenuous that none of these recent reviews call out that they are spending over 1/3 of the time talking about features that the public don’t have access to yet. Rivian know what they are doing, it’s a conscious choice.

Sad… I was wondering about that

As a G2 Quad owner I am not upset that they are taking a few months to get this released. Car still has 1000+ hp.

Tires still have significant spin as the tread becomes virtually smooth with snow.
I would be carrying some type of cables or socks etc for at least one axle in those conditions.
