R1s ski rack noise

Does anyone have any recs for ski rack for r1s with the least amount of wind noise? I have a Thule snowpack and the wind noise is almost unbearable. I hesitate to get a hitch mount rack bc I ski mainly in Oregon and the cinder on the road I feel would be a problem for skis on a hitch mount.

You just need to fill the channels in the Rivian crossbars.

I used this https://www.amazon.com/Rhino-Rack-V...99N1LBY4/dp/B099N1LBY4/ref=dp_ob_title_sports and they worked great. Noise gone!

Whatever you fill it with needs to sit just slightly above the channel to eliminate the whistle.

I don't think there is any chance of mounting skis up on the roof without it being noisy. Even if the ski rack made no noise the skis themselves are not going to be quiet. The quietest (but also most expensive and most range-sucking) is probably going to be a fully enclosed cargo box but that probably isn't going to be super quiet either.

Folding the center section of the 2nd row and placing the skis in the cabin is probably the only truly quiet option. You can still seat five people with skis in the cabin if you put 1 person in the 3rd row.

You can also move the ski rack to the back position and it makes less noise.
