Is there a video demonstrating the ingress procedure for the third row on the R1S? Specifically I’m looking for how the second row moves forward (does it fold, slide, tilt, or a combination of those?) and how much room is available within the opening, ideally with an adult demonstrating to get a feel for scale.

No, nothing. And I asked CS the question dozens of times since 2019. Other members too.
Check the R1S specific section, there are a few threads on the subject.

2023 Rivian R1S
Rivian, if you're reading this, this info is long overdue.

If you zoom on on this it seems like there's a track for the second row to slide forward.

There's also the new folding animation. Presumably it's some combo of both like other 7 row suvs, but we'll see when we see.
A 2+ year old render showing 4 seatbelts in the back… I doesnt confirm anything IMO. Sure we will see when we will see… but for those of us waiting for this info as a possible deal breaker, the silence is getting to be a PITA.

Maybe right / maybe wrong, but that's the one that was just added with the website redesign.

I'm not sure that even RJ knows the answer to the OP's question.

It feels like the R1S design has not yet been finalized. Even the R1T does not seem final yet and in theory they are being delivered. All of the reviews and test drives have been done on pre-production vehicles and the reports usually contain notes about how rivian said this or that would be different on the final production version.

I know I am toward the back of the line, but I can't wait for deliveries to begin so that some of these basic questions can be answered.

If Rivian doesnt know, it would mean they have not secured a supply deal for the second-row seats – I doubt those will be made in house. This would also mean any 2021 R1S deliveries, even just a few dozen token ones as per the last IPO filings, are improbable.

I hope they do know and that this is just a question of piss poor communications.

I agree this is a big deal for some, me for sure. How the second and third row function for a family may be a deal breaker. If it is a deal breaker, I am just happy I have a Launch Edition so I can sell it off for a big profit based on the other thread......joking, kind of!

Yes, I know. Thats why some, myself included, are frustrated: Its a "non update". The website redesign would have been a great occasion to finally answer this pretty basic SUV shopping question.
