Easy to address the power distribution. Give me track mode like in my Model S Plaid and Model 3 Performance. Dial it however you want. I don't expect to handle like a Miata but the R1S and R1T are definitely among the best in their class for handling. Neither my aforementioned S or 3 are pure sportscars but they are a lot of fun on a track.

I had one of the original Audi Quattros and cleaned up at the track for some time. I've been an AWD convert since then as weather isn't always perfect and I use my cars mostly on the street. If I am going to do track days, it is normally on one of my motorcycles.

It would be great if Rivian would bring the tank turn back.

Test drove the tri motor. The seats are nice! The high def cameras are pretty sweet as well. That being said, I would get a regular dual motor if I get one. 533 HP is more than enough for me, and I have a quad R1T gen 1.

I can see that over 99% of the time I probably use less than 30% of my R1S‘s capabilities.

I hear you. It reminds me of driving my Plaid. Very few times I can run it wide open for more than about 4 seconds. But what a glorious 4 seconds they were, as my wife would say.
