A number of folks have mentioned, the back seat of the R1T is wide enough for sleeping. Both the R1T and R1S are 79.3" or 6' 7.3" wide.
Assuming you don't want your feet or head jammed against the doors, anyone 6' 3-4" or less ought to be able to lie down in the back seat of an R1T (or R1S for that matter). An after market platform custom made to fit the R1T would allow back seat sleeping for one and maybe even two, depending on body sizes and sleeping habits. (Maybe the platform stows in the gear tunnel when not in use?)
In short, if you're a singleton or a compatible couple, sleeping inside the R1T is possible, and this lessens an oft-mentioned appeal of the R1S - climate controlled camping.

has anyone found information about the R1S 3rd row features? I don't think they have released how people get back there, if there is 3rd row climate, heated seats, cup holders, etc. I know, I know, it's not a minivan, but at $80K plus I would hope it's not bare bones back there.

There's no way that number can be correct. The width with mirrors folded is 81.8 inches. That leaves only 2.5" for the doors and trim, or 1.25" per door. That's thinner than the doors in your house. Truck doors are going to be at least 6" thick.

@timf and #111 above. I've got a bunch of different numbers for the width of a R1T/S after a fair amount of online searching. It's not entirely clear what the inside, door-to-door dimensions are.
Here's what I've got: 81.8" with side mirrors folded; 79.3" wide without a reference as to what that measures exactly; and, a measurement for the length of the gear tunnel at 65.6".
So, at a minimum, the inside, door-to-door width is 65.6", the gear tunnel length. At a maximum, the width would likely be 69.8" (81.8 - 12 ((2 truck doors' width, your estimation)) or 67.3" (79.3 - 12). (But if the 79.3" number is actually an inside measurement, there's plenty of room.)
In short, we have 3 possible numbers for the usable interior width of a R1T/S: 65.6", 67.3", and 69.8". Converting the numbers to feet and inches, we have 5' 5", 5' 6" and 5' 8". This is not nearly as much as I originally thought. So, a singleton can sleep inside an R1T/S, sleeping on a diagonal if s/he approaches or exceeds 6 feet. A couple would need to be either short or highly congenial.
But the point stands. Slide up the front passenger seat and there's enough room in the back of an R1T to sleep in climate controlled comfort, especially if some sort of platform accessory was brought along just for that purpose. The point of this thread was to make a choice between a R1T and R1S when making that choice was hard. An advantage of a R1S was to sleep in climate controlled comfort. The same may be true of the R1T with some adaptation and effort.
