After many starts and stops, I picked up my 2023 R1T on Thursday. I was able to secure a 3 year lease of a quad motor. I can safely say leading up to the actually pick up was pretty intense and those that waited years I applaud you, I don’t think I could have stuck it out.

The Franklin SC was my pick up location. I had a half hour scheduled, but they let me drive a demo unit before I signed my paperwork. Everything took over an hour and JB that actually delivered the truck was very patient. My wife and I had an 1 1/2 hour drive home, so we got to learn a lot about our new ride. We moved from a 2019 Honda Ridgeline and so far we are not disappointed.

Congratulations! I've owned a lot of great trucks and cars, but my Rivian is nothing short of incredible....

Welcome aboard! Came from a 2017 Ridgeline myself. I do love my R1T… but I miss that easy to reach trunk space (thanks to the two-way tailgate); door handle touch lock/unlock; and of course (sigh) Apple CarPlay. But don’t miss the maintenance or gas stations.

Our ‘19 had walk away lock, but touching the door handle was nice for unlock. i didn’t use CarPlay much, but it was handy. Missed most will be the two-way tailgate.

Congratulations! The Rivian will be much more enjoyable than the Honda I promise you that ?

We have a 21 Honda Pilot and my daughter drives that now.
It may be more enjoyable, but after driving Honda/Acura products for 36 years, it is going to be a steep learning curve on control locations. Our last two Acura had the touchpad, so it was getting me ready for something new. :)

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle. Congratulations on your new R1T. May you have safe travels and many great Rivian Adventures with her. We have has Opal (our R1T) for a year now and still absolutely lover her. We still fight over who gets to drive her.

We are pick-up truck people and have had many over the years. They have all been great but none as much fun as Opal. We still have Vivian, our Silverado Duramax.

We love it. We are becoming masters of the multi-screen driving experience.

Congrats Billy1963!

moosetags, looks like perhaps Seaside? My parents live down in Seagrove.

We have had good experiences towing our airstream with it. Albeit with a range reduced to ~160 miles but that's doable and even easier now that the Tesla chargers are opened up. (Granted this is in CA.)

Have you done any towing trips or are you sticking with your duramax for now? (Which is a great diesel engine.)
