So let's straighten up a couple of things:

1. The truck did not "suddenly roll". I never said that. I said it "unexpectedly rolled". If I had an inkling of a reservation about it rolling I would not have driven into the field.

2. There is nothing in any pictures online that show the truck path, or anything about what happened. It rolled from the left relative to any picture online and never traveled at all on anything in the right of these pictures.

3. Rivian was contacted by me and I asked them to look at the crash data and "explain to me what I did wrong". I told them exactly what happened. They downloaded the crash data and called me next day to ask if they could send engineering to the site to walk through it with me.

4. Engineers were out there very quickly, looked at everything they could find data-point wise as well as my exact experience.

5. My insurance received the same information and ruled me at fault hence the collision designation on the iia listing.

6. I'm not blaming Rivian, never have. Rivian initiated everything about getting engineering to investigate everything.

7. I was driving so it's my fault, I can accept that.

8. You don't have details because if I share anything about the situation particulars while Rivian is also investigating their data that's just bad business on my part.

9. If you think daddy bought this truck for me then feel free to call me Daddy sonny.

Thanks for the update.

So if it rolled from the left in the photos, it rolled first onto the driver’s side, across the top and stopped passenger side down? A 3/4 roll?

How fast would you say you were going and what do you think happened?

Yes, it was a 3/4 roll. I have YouTube and post history that could relate to what I believe, and felt, "went wrong". But I still would trust Rivian's analysis over my own inclinations about it.

I understand. I hate YouTube so forgive me for just asking again what you think happened. If you weren’t supposed to say anything then why share it online with such a vague description? That is why so many are commenting on it.

Specifically I wonder:
  1. Why you were driving in the field?
  2. What speed you think you were going?
  3. What were drive mode/ suspension settings at time of the rollover?
  4. Were you doing donuts or other maneuvers?

Glad you are alright. You made the news:

https://www.thedrive.com/news/rivia...ne-talking-except-the-driver-and-manufacturer

Actually based on some of the stuff I have done in my truck I am surprised you were able to roll it too. Frankly I think it is lucky that the insurance is covering it at all, I mean off road isn’t covered by some policies (maybe state specific??).

No one just rolls a truck. No one hides the details like this if they didn’t play a part. Op is dumb fool. Alcohol and speed are top two contributors to vehicle wrecks. I’m betting they were combined. No seatbelt? Are they really that uncomfortable you can’t click it on? I don’t get that. Sounds immature to me. Brushing your teeth is more inconvenient. Do you skip that routine too?

Parallel parking mode still has some bugs to work out.
"Didn't specify what side of the vehicle should be parallel to what stationary item - user error, ticket closed."

I really don’t understand why someone would post it to FB then suddenly decide they “shouldn’t” talk about it. And on top of that get annoyed when people start picking the extremely vague story apart. ?

I don't get it either unless... someone is paying for silence? I mean, he could at least say how fast, straight or turn, donuts, was the recall completed on this T, etc.

Or he doesn't want to be dragged harder than he already is. The original explanation was written in a way to take as little responsibility for what happened as possible. I would venture a guess there is more to this story that doesn't make the guy who flipped his truck look all that great and that's why he's being so guarded about it.
