Hi all - new to the Rivian family, hoping for some guidance from the community.

I am taking delivery of a 2023 R1T within the week (ps...the lease deals on these were RIDICULOUS! Still cannot believe it!).

Unfortunately, I am one of those whose power tonneau cover is delayed "till the fall". Disappointing! I am looking for some recommendations on the cheaper, but still functional, "get me over" type covers till the PTC from Rivian becomes available later this year to install. Wouldn't make sense to splurge on a cover, only for Rivian to install the PTC within a few months.

Any thoughts/recommendations highy appreciated!

Thanks all.

We have the Lomax trifold tonnea. It looks great. It is secure and waterproof. It is far better than anything that Rivian has made thus far, manual or motorized.

Would you mind or be able to send photo of the Lomax trifold? I'm in Seattle & waterproof would be great. I can't recall which one I have (not yet installed) but recall when purchasing they said water resistant, as in if it's really raining, some water will get in.

It's a soft tonneau but getting ready to sell mine slightly used for $400 shipped if interested. https://evsportline.com/products/rivian-r1t-rmaxx-soft-tonneau-roll-up-bed-cover

I took delivery of my R1T on 5/11 and it didn’t have PTC installed (was told sometime in July to have stock), in addition, it had several other issues, ding on the tunnel door, pulls to the right on all roads, stitch on steering wheel coming off, A pillar misaligned and rattle/buzzing from the mesh cover near windshield. Several days after, service center reached out and scheduled to address everything in couple of weeks including installing PTC. I did mention to them we were most disappointed about the missing PTC, maybe that helped escalate things and got everything moving quicker than expected. Nonetheless, all is well now and I’m loving and enjoying driving my R1T! Shut out to Portland Rivian Service Center for taking care of my concerns promptly and attentively.
