On a side note without starting an additional thread, does adding the lightest ceramic tint to the windshield (which I believe is 70-80%) help with reducing the off gassing issues from the plastics in the dash causing foggy looking glass that requires cleaning even for us non-smokers?
Has anyone had issues with such a light tint on the windshield in states that don't allow tint on windshields?
When we got our Y tinted here in Nevada they told us that they'd do it but if we got ticketed for it, we would be paying to have it taken off. Decided not to do the windshield and I do use a shade when parked in the sun but not useful when driving.
No experience with tints up front but have cars for years in 100+ climates and decades in Minnesota. Neither were better or worse for interior film buildup.

Honestly, I’d just get a box of quality microfiber cloths and mix up some quality solution for only the off gassing residue (good videos online) and do it once every 2-3 months.. the early off gassing does occur, but it tapers pretty quickly IMHO.

Windshield tint film usually.goes on the outside, so no. It is supposed to reduce nocks cracks, and scratches.

The outside air temperature was about 98 degrees and sunny during my R2 demo drive in Orlando last week. The time was from 11:30 AM until noon with the sun directly overhead. The glass roof seemed well tinted and I didn't notice any glare or radiant heat. The AC and seat ventilation worked extremely good. I don't think I will need to add any film tinting.

I'm a huge fan of 3M Crystalline. I use 90% on the windshields of two of my cars. No one ever thinks it's tinted and it does a great job rejecting IR. Many people like to use 70% on the windshield, but some people will catch that as being tinted.
