As the title suggests, what are your plans/product for mounting a phone?

I took delivery this morning and I am trying to determine what to do. For my use I think to the right of the main screen. It only need to be visible for FaceID. All my texts and calls happen via Siri. So it doesn’t need to be right next to me. To the left of the main screen looks to be too tight of a space plus the steering wheel would block most of the phone. And to the left of the driver screen is a non starter for me.

I know it’s early in the accessory game for R2 but I thought I’d ask opinions.

I did a bit of a test fit with one of these during a demo driv and it seemed like it would work well:

I'm sure someone will develop a custom clip on for this car eventually though.

Has anyone confirmed that the many vent mounts or under-dash edge mounts WON'T work?

I previously used one of these in my (non-CarPlay) Infiniti M37x for ~five years as it was the best design I found to work with really obstinate air vent configs:

I bought the updated one that has MagSafe charging, and tried to find a place to attach it during the R2 demo drive yesterday, and...yeah no.

Not saying that none of the options out there will work but I'm personally expecting I'll go the EVPlay Max route to add CarPlay functionality to the infotainment console main screen.

I have the everyamp phone mount for my R1S and I love that it mounts completely securely without any drilling, adhesives, flimsy vent attachments, suction cups, or anything like that. Since it has a standard ball you also have lots of flexibility in the type of holder you want to use with it (cradle vs magsafe, wireless vs wired charging, active cooling, etc.). Hopefully they will have a version for the R2 that works exactly the same way:

I failed to be specific. I mean the existing R1 mounts. Are the R2 vents totally different?
