R2 spotted with new stripes and vinyl graphics design (2/2/26)

An R2 with graphics decals was spotted last night by @ThemeParkDNA near the Rivian HQ in Irvine, CA. I think it great in these pics and videos. Those stripes make it look beefier.

The one up front? It looks like it's in lieu of one on the wind mirror, which is where I usually expect to see those. Seems odd to me.

No, it was R2-D2 colors. Blue, silver and white

I like the turn signal light on the bottom of the door/fender area.

Interesting, that little area on the prototypes is yellow and has “Rivian” lettering on it, so it’ll be blinking “Rivian”. Personally, I like that it’s also serving as their side markers as well. But yeah, I’d like that in addition to the signals on the side mirrors, since side mirrors are more likely be in other driver’s immediate eyeline.

Love the little vinyl graphic/stripes.

And I don’t think this R2 unit has a bad motivator since it takes off pretty quick at the end of the 2nd clip!

Cool. Great find. It looks like the rear window was open. Must be warm in Irvine. That R2 really took off, too. Can’t wait to see it in person.
