Rivian Wall Charger is $800, Tesla's is cheaper, but some suggest EviQo. What do you guys suggest?

Tesla, Emporia, Chargepoint, Wallbox, and Grizzl-E are the most recommended brands. Emporia has great load management.

OP doesn't own an EV at all and adding an extra $150 in cost is silly for no reason. Every new vehicle is NACS now so J1772 will continue to fade away over time.
Disagree. Extremely short-sighted. Sure, every new vehicle will EVENTUALLY adopt the standard, however there are plenty out there that don’t.
Your R2 goes in for service and you require a loaner. Your loaner is an R1 with j1772. Oh man that sucks.
It’ll suck to need an adapter and pay the money after the fact.

I also recommend Emporia. My first charger, 12 years ago, was Clipper Creek (no frills, just charges, still working). Also have Autel ... it works, but user interface and features not as good as Emporia.

The actual charger is built into the car. The wall "charger" is really just a power supply to switch input power on/off. If you want a "smart" one with network connectivity and its own app... get one that is from a company that is not likely to go belly-up and leave you hanging. If that concerns you, get a dumb one that does not have any of that remote connectivity (example, Grizzle-E Classic). Either way, you can manage your charging remotely with your Rivian app.

I just checked Tesla's shop and they changed the pricing yet again lol. UWC is $550 vs $465 for NACS only, so the pricing is much closer now.

Disagree. Prudent to have the option of either plug.
Really because the universal is simply just adding a built in adapter. I never understood the real value of the universal charger. I paid 399 for my Emporia charger with a J1772 and can charge the R1S or the Tesla with the J1772 to J3400 that came with the Tesla.

Maybe someone can explain what I’m missing here.
