Hi all, wondering if anyone is having the same issues.
I got my R1T in December 2023. Mid 2024 I noticed the passenger side rear door lower window trim was bending up. It was less than one year and I figured it was a defective part. I’ve heard within 1 year of delivery they will take care of at no charge. Rivian replaced it no problem. Now the driver side rear door lower window trim is bending up the exact same way. See photos. I called Rivian for an appointment but haven’t been in yet to repair it. I’m curious if they’re gonna charge me since it’s been more than one year. Has anyone experienced the same issue with the rear door lower window trim bending up?

Yup, mine did that too on one side. Fixed under warranty, hasn’t happened again but now I’ll likely expect it might at some point… Though one side has been fine since purchase (a little over two years)

This should be covered under the comprehensive warranty, not the Adjustment Warranty (which is one year).

Same thing happening to me. That trim piece is very slowly but definitely coming off my rear driver door and raising up.

In addition, I have some door panel gap spacing issues with that same door. My frunk is also starting to have some panel gap issues.

Seems things on the vehicle are really starting to settle in (Aug 2024 birthdate). 🤪

I have that happen twice as well. Both times it was repaired by mobile service.

I bought a used 2022(~25k miles) back in early March, and the trim came up on the back passenger window as well. Mobile service came out and repaired it under warranty for free.

I had a mobile first service yesterday and the tech actually had extras of those with him so it is definitely a known issue. He said they also carry the square logos for the columns as they apparently have issues also. My Gen1 had one popping off but so far no issues for either item on my gen2 replacement.

Warranty. But, if the rubber part is still where it should be and you don’t want to wait on Service, you should be able to carefully glue the trim back onto the rubber seal. Just take care to not dispense too much and cause runs and spills. A thin bead should suffice. Use masking tape to hold it in place and cure. This happened to me a month after delivery. Coming up on 3 years and still holding. This is a supplier QC problem and difficult for Rivian to prevent.
