Rear tail light vs car wash mode - problem?

I currently am dealing with the rear left taillight not working. I get the rapid blinking turn signal when engaging the turn signal stalk.

This is now the 3rd tail light issue. The left was replaced 1 year ago. The right was replaced 8 months ago. and now the left is acting up again.

interesting though - it always seem to pop up after going through a no touch car wash with car wash mode on. I would
Guess water damage but has anyone else seen any problems like this from engaging the car wash mode itself?

please do not tell me stop going to the car wash. I got it. My wife has already recommended this

I have this on my rear drivers taillight now.

I almost never go to auto carwashes, I wash by hand, but I do sometimes go to a touchless for a quick rinse and guess what, I did that a few days before this...

Had my mobile service appt which showed corrosion likely from water. Tech said this issue seems rare in general.

They called me to possibly expeidiate my issue and do it via mobile. Sounds like they’re just planning on replacing the entire light housing.

That sucks - I go through a soft-touch carwash about twice a week and have never had a problem, but I know the water pressure on touchless can be a lot higher. I hope that wasn't the issue, but if it is then Rivian needs to replace the seals around your brake lights so that it doesn't happen (or you should find a soft-touch with lower water pressure).

How did this resolve? A buddy of mine is having this exact issue with his R1T after going through a touch less car wash this morning.

Service replaced the tail light.
I ended up trading in for a gen 2 so not sure if the replacement definitively solved the issue.
