Just caught this while lurking on Cybertruck forum:

Entry-level Tesla "Redwood" (Model 2?) production starts mid-2025[

No way it will cost just $25k, but wonder how close to the mid-2025 production launch it will be.
Wasn't the Model 3 supposed to be the entry-level $25k vehicle?

Will the revolutionary, mind-blowing manufacturing process be the "alien dreadnaught" that was promised for the Model 3 production?

If it has a trailer hitch, will the Model 2 be able to tow near-infinite mass?

I think 3 was supposed to be the $35k model, but of course it took years for them to get to that price.

This may lauch mid 2025 (+6 months to 2 years) for $25k (+$10k to $17k).

We do need more low cost EVs, and if anyone is going to do it in the US, it will be Tesla. Interesting to see what they cut to make it that cost. I would definitely not expect more that 150-170 miles range though.

That would definitely be a non-starter for people in cold-weather areas.

150-170mi EPA range = 75-90mi range in (very) cold temps.

Oh you're right. Model 3 was supposed to be in the $30-35k range.

It's going to almost certainly be LFP batteries and will probably be 200 mile range or lower.
