Rivian 2025 R1S Windshield Sun Shade recommendations?

Looking for a Rivian 2025 R1S Windshield Sun Shade. The OEM Rivian 2025 R1S Windshield Sun Shade is showing zero availability in the Rivian Gear Shop. No other vendor is offering a Sun Shade for the 2025 R1S.

Covercraft makes some of the best sunshades out there. BMW and other manufacturers sell custom versions of the UVS100 sunshades with their own branding. I'm guessing that Rivian does, as well, but cannot confirm this.

I have used CoverCraft for years for Porsche, BMW and Honda. Unfortunately Covercraft's response below...

"I sincerely apologize, but at this time, we do not yet offer a sunshade specifically designed for the 2025 Rivian R1S. I understand how disappointing this may be and truly regret any inconvenience this may cause.

I'm waiting for the Rivian sunshade to come back in stock, too! If it doesn't, I may have to order a Covercraft. Covercraft does sell a sunshade for the Gen1 R1T and R1S, so perhaps they are still validating their Gen2 design.

The front windows in our Gen1 R1T and Gen2 R1S are almost identical. I tried an OEM sunshade from our previous BMW X5 and it almost fit in both, but I'm sure that a custom UVS100 would fit even better.

Front windshield

The material for the other windows including the roof require suction cups. Just get the front windshield one.

There shouldn’t be any difference. ‘22-‘24 Covercraft should fit. The Rivian one is probably made by Covercraft. Rivian doesn’t make distinction between gen1 or gen2 on theirs, which is a clue it’s compatible.

+1 more for the HeatShield.

I bought a different brand's version for the Gen1 after reading reviews that it fit the Gen2 also. But that reviewer's definition of "fit" was apparently a bit less picky than mine. The HeatShield Gen2 version fits better than any windshield screen I have tried for any vehicle. It does not really even need the sunshades folded down to hold it in place.

I went with the lightest ceramic tint for the front doors and main windshield. This reflects most heat and all damaging rays. I don't even notice it's there. Benefits: it's always there even when driving so the AC doesn't have to work as hard and there's no fussy cover to remove and replace all the time.

We purchase this one from Amazon in January for our 2025 R1S. It's effective at cutting heat (and light), it's low cost, fits well and it's well made. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again if I ever needed another one.
