Rivian app 2.0 is live!

Am I right in saying that those who are having excessive data usage issues are all on android? All the screen shots I’ve seen seem to be on non-iOS devices? Anyone on iOS with abnormal data consumption?

It looks like it. My iOS app has used 1% of battery since download.

Interestingly mine shows my originally configured/delivered wheels, 22 brights. I swapped to 20 darks and had the sc update my truck last year. Shows 20 darks on the main vehicle screen. That's weird.

Same issue here. Had the SC change 20” to 21” and paid for such service and reconfiguration, yet the new app begs to differ…

For what it is worth, I run android and have seen no change to data or battery consumption since updating the app.

It looks like it. My iOS app has used 1% of battery since download.

They reported on Reddit that there is a bug in the Android version that causes it to download the 'what's new' video repeatedly. They've blocked it on the cloud somehow and are working on an update. Apple fanboys are unaffected.

FWIW IOS battery looks like 4% usage in the past 24 hours which is mildly higher than normal but not significant.

Additionally the new lock/unlock button contradicts the actions of the FOB.

Symbols _mean_ things. I don’t press the “lock symbol” on the FOB to unlock my truck nor do I press the “unlock symbol” on my FOB to lock my truck.

And… TRIP METERS ARE NOT SETTINGS! (Are co-ops doing UI reviews?)

Edit: wait. Wait. Top left of the main screen is a single status/action button and I _do_ press the lock symbol to unlock and press an unlock symbol to lock.

Disagree. The old lock/unlock clearly highlighted the current state of the vehicle and it’s intuitive that pressing a button with a lock on it will, well, lock the vehicle. Really dislike the new version as I’m sure I will at some point wonder whether the button shows current state or functionality, even though I’m posting about having to do that here.

I’d love to see a whole suite of trip meter options under the vehicle app. Since last charge, life time efficiency, etc.

Awesome. I can't update the existing app. Not sure if this is a Google, my phone or a Rivian issue.
I use it on my LG V35 currently.

Did you view the details for the app in Google Play? Are you running Android 12 or higher? What does it show under compatibility?

Ah yes, it does require Android 12. So again, awesome. I have to buy a new phone to use it. It's like 3 years old so no big deal.
