Need it in Florida, the birthplace of what became Rivian (purposeful mashup of the “Indian River” intracoastal waterway).

why not California???
what are the barriers to other states? what is the likelyhood of california getting added in the next year
Ironically, due to CA's strict consumer protection laws governing vehicle service contracts. Availability in CA pending whatever bureaucratic red tape Rivian has to navigate to get around the law (instead of having the law change, which is much harder). Unknown if it will ever happen.

According to Gemini (my summary of what it says)...

Rivian doesn't operate dealerships (who are authorized to sell service contracts). Rivian is however holder of direct-to-consumer license. If Rivian registers itself as an approved Vehicle Service Contract Provider with California Dept of Insurance, and submit full contract terms to prove the language protects consumers and satisfies CA's strict cancellation and refund laws... and are approved by CDI, then they can proceed to offer Rivian Care.

CA is Rivian's largest domestic market and Rivian Care would be additional revenue. Probably safe to assume they will try to receive approval. Just a matter of when.

Been waiting for this... but still no PA, hopefully S00n
It's almost certainly due to archaic Pennsylvania automobile dealership/franchise/ownership laws that are effectively written and controlled by the auto dealer lobbyists.
