I think this pretty much confirms the 2022 orders who got deliveries were not accidents. The ordering system was designed in such a way that there was only ONE delivery window generated. It never updated when you updated a config. So there may have been MANY people who changed orders to common configs in hopes of getting earlier delivery. The system just never saw those changes.

My personal situation is that I had two configs pre December 2021 email: max pack R1T, and base / explore R1S. Since then, i changed both configs to Large / Adventure with the goal of possibly getting one of them by "Rivian lottery" this year. My interpretation of this email, is that because the one and only delivery window I got was 2023 (for both), I don't fall in to the lucky group to get update emails.

So as I sit waiting with little to no hope of pre-mid2023, I will be making the following changes:
- restoring my original orders
- trying my damndest to get a EV9 or SEVEN. My wife would be just as happy with one of those and it'll save me at least 20k

PS - the system not updating also explains why I have not ever been offered a first mile drive even though I live in a major city with a service center. The system still only sees my original T Max and S Explore orders.

i wonder if the trucks offered in the "store" will have the new pricing or the old pricing? Or a two tier pricing in the store?? I wonder how many of us would pay another $15-20K for the same truck to get it within a few weeks vs months and months??

steve
Yikes. Please do not put that energy out into the universe, lol

I don’t think you would see it. You’ll just be offered some options at the price you “locked in” with your early reservation (if you are a pre Marcher).

Let's just make it an auction.... what's the worst that could happen?

While I think that some R1S customers will get their SUVs this year.
Yeah -- that dude from the other thread who put in an Adventure R1S holder last month. He'll be fine. The rest of us can go piss up a rope.

Thanks for the update, Tony!

Dear Diary,
Wrote another email today composed mostly of limericks, haikus, and fragmented half-ass clues to 10s of thousands of people!! Best part is, they all read it! This is the best Summer Camp I’ve ever been to, can’t believe they keep on letting me do this!
Love,
Tony

I'm sure Tony is doing what he is told, but it was kind of the Rivian equivalent to hitting "Reply All" to a company-wide email, when you really just wanted to discreetly tell your coworker that they needed to get checked for an STD.

EDIT: Me thinks I might have upset someone at the mother ship, or is everyone else not able to log in and getting an error message at the top of the screen?

Get ready for end of Q2 push. They had a decent last quarter. Owners are reporting vins in the 7300s. This could could them in pace with 15k by EOY. The Rivian Shop is going to capitalize on mass deliveries of cars already built. My thoughts are those who are close will get one of those email blasts to pair by the end of month. Exciting next few weeks. Too all those waiting good luck and may the odds be in your favor for the Rivian lottery.
