Can someone explain how the smaller Rivian with a more aerodynamic Cd gets worse efficiency than the wedge shaped cybertruck?

I've seen some strangely bad efficiency in the winter time, post-DC charging. I'd rather see a cold soak overnight at 80% range test to simulate having to stop somewhere overnight that doesn't have charging.

Other tests would be good but not great if the Rivian has issues with efficiency post DC charging in the winter compared to other EVs

My quad-large seems to be ok in the winter tbh. I have a lucid as well which is dog shit in the winter. Goes from like 3.5 miles/kw in summer driving to high 2s in the winter.

But now that gen 2 has heat pump, I figured it would be even better! Haha ?‍♂

They both have really low cd. Not much difference compared to really unaerodynamic ICE trucks. But Tesla seems to have a really efficient motor and battery still.

Yeah it’s confusing to me too. My lifetime average is 2.45 mi/kWh over 20k+ miles, mostly in all purpose on 21s (without aero covers). I can touch 3 mi/kWh in conserve. G1 Quad.

A very disappointing result TBH. The Rivian had a much bigger pack and was the most efficient model and a G2 one at that. On paper, the Rivian should have crushed the Tesla. I think the Rivian was at about 1.89. It went only 14 miles more than the CT and had about a 20% bigger pack. Maybe the heat pump isn't as efficient as they hoped.

It looks like CT sales dominance will continue ..
Today is Thanksgiving so I will just say I am thankful for the endless comedic relief you provide us. I hope Elmo replies to your many love letters and that your CT takes longer to rust away than the others…

What if he is Elmo himself all along?
He supposed to be very active on the net.
At this point he sounds desperate enough to be the real guy trying to push CT sales anywhere possible.
