Does anyone know if existing running boards like the EV Sportline RMaxx running boards will be compatible with the 2025/Gen2 R1S and R1T?

I just switched our order from a 2024 R1S that I was going to pickup tomorrow to a 2025/Gen2 R1S.

I have the RMaxx running boards that showed up a week ago, but I don't want to return it if I don't have to.

I'm doubtful the hard points have changed on the outside of the frame, but the battery ones may have.

My guess is that there are changes since they redesigned the battery pack.

we expect yes - FYI early on, we revised our attachment points to use points found on all Rivian. The very early R1T had extra 'attachment' bosses in the side rail of the unibody, but those were eliminated after a few thousand vehicles.

I noticed there are 2025 model running boards available for pre order now. So looks like the gen 1 running boards aren't compatible.

I’m planning to take my gen2 R1S to Weistec (DCE) for a test fit next Friday (8/23). Will report back.

What did you end up doing?
Mine installed OK (2022-2024 boards on 2025 R1S) despite initial concerns

EV Sportline said the running boards would fit ok if you have the underbody shield, but if you don't have the all terrain package / underbody shield, that there might be fitment issues? They allowed me to return them, and I will be ordering the newer fitment ones.

Although your comment here concerns me now, hopefully it wasn't a waste of time sending them back!

You specifically have the EV Sportline RMaxx running boards? And you did not have the all terrain package or underbody shield?

I have a Gen2 S and I'm looking for some running boards as well. Has anyone installed any at this stage?

No difference in function or fit. Just different aesthetics. You can pick which ever one you think looks better.

Installed the EVS sliders in my gen2 last weekend. Fit and finish is great. They sent a different middle bracket for the gen2.
