Looking to install some running boards soon. Saw a few issues on here regarding torque specs being wrong and even some broken bolts.

Anyone you has installed have any broken bolt issues?

How about torque specs? What is each version of Running Boards / Sliders saying they are?

Please help us save some headache!

Thanks

This is indeed confusing. The original EV Sportline instructions, and even currently on one of their YouTube videos says to torque the TP55 bolts to 100 ft-lbs. The instructions now say 80 ft-lbs. DCE says 95 ft-lbs for the same bolts in their slider video.

I used 100 ft-lbs (because that's the only spec I saw at the time) with no issues but I'd probably back this off to 90 if I did it again.

Yeah, a little concerning. Thanks
Thinking about using some blue Loctite as well.
