San Diego Rivian meet up?

Gauging interest in a San Diego area meet up? Ideas for location?

I think it'll be fun to meet other Rivian owners and possibly set up off road / overlanding trips or just talk shop.

Coming from the Jeep world we would also set up wrenching get togethers where people would help other owners install aftermarket parts or help with repairs.

@Brewbud thanks for info, i was unaware there is a SD Rivian Owners Facebook Group.

I would be up for a meet up in North County, maybe Encinitas or Carlsbad. Not sure of a location that we could just occupy for a couple of hours, but im sure we could find one.

i'd also love to talk about and possibly set a up a run out to one of the local OHV trails. When i think of easy local trails, i think of Corrall Canyon, but what was easy in my Jeep versus what i think is easy in my Riv are two different things. Some research will have to be done because I'm thinking more trails than rock/boulder passes. Anyone have any ideas?

In PQ. Closest easy trail to me would be around Ramona. There's the Black Mountain Truck trail and the Lusardi Truck Trail. But would eventually like to test this thing in the Anza Borrego area.

I just took delivery of my R1T on Friday! I live in Poway. My son and I just got back from a day trip to Anza Borrego, checking it out. Unbelievable impressed overall. I saw your earlier note and would enjoy hooking up with anyone to swap insights and get out. Paul

I'm interested. I tried to test out the truck on Black Mountain or Lusardi TT but the gates were closed a few weeks ago. Probably a good thing since I only have fix-a-flat kit.

According to my range screen, I only get about 1 mile per kWh around town. So I have a bit of range anxiety about going to Anza Borrego. If I charge at Albertsons or Viejas, I should make it. But I don't think I could do a trip to and from my home in PQ. Thoughts?

i think it's possible, you just gotta plan it out. there's a youtuber chargeoverland who did a video w/ camping out there for a few nights. towards the end of the video he talks about the planning for the trip...
