I found an old ipod touch -- it can connect to Rivian's vehicle wi-fi, has bluetooth and can run the Sirius app. I was thinking of plugging it in and dropping/leaving it in the center console to use for Sirius via the "phone" app on the Rivian's infotainment (rather than running it on my phone). My question is...has anybody tried this and/or will I still be able to get my phone calls over the Rivian while the ipod is bluetooth tethered to the vehicle?
TLDR: can the Rivian have two simultaneous bluetooth devices connected?

How would that be easier or any better than just using the app on your phone?

Didn't suggest it would be easier -- just want to be able to leave my phone in my pocket rather than use it for the Sirius app. Also would like to leave the Sirius app running on the ipod so that it is always queued up.

I have not heard of anyone trying this, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. You can have multiple devices connected to BT at the same time, but only one can be playing media so I’m not sure what exactly would happen when a call comes in. It seems like a simple thing to test out.

No, you cannot have multiple devices connected at the same time. Whichever device is connected will do media, calls, and text. I experience this any time the wife gets to the car first, I have to manually switch to my phone.
