Just want to start thread to post different behaviors people noticed since .46

1. In my 2026 R1S dual max, under Energy tab in app, 24hr battery consumption has changed from previously average just under 2 kwh to 5 kWh.

2. When in “off-hand” driving before.46, I usually like putting hands lightly on steering wheel so my eyes are not being monitored constantly. Now it monitors your eyes whether or not hands on steering wheel or not. If you look away for a second even with hands on wheel, it’ll freak out. One strike you’re out for this drive.

I think the seat is slightly more molded to my ass after this update compared to the last one.

Ok so the hands free driving is expanded and that seems great. However the indicator that shows available is constantly blinking on-off-on-off as I make my way through the city streets. Needs a stable on for a full 30 to 120 seconds before it says go. Rather distracting even with no intention of activating.

I've gotten the warning display followed by the nagging chime, especially when I'm changing music or doing other things where it knows I'm not looking, but I've never been locked out of using UHF for the rest of the drive.

How long do you have to not be looking for it to lock you out?

For item 1, I agree, I have also noticed this same change in energy consumption overnight. I also track with Rivian Roamer, and what I noticed is now my Rivian will be "awake" for a few hours overnight. It used to stay asleep constantly through the night, since I've been checking the past 3-4 days my Rivian will wake up for a random 2-2.5 hour period, the time varies a bit, but always between like 3-5am it awakes, and goes back to sleep between 5-7am

It happened to me exactly when I was changing music! I don’t recall how long maybe 20-30 seconds I guess. Then I saw a big red steering wheel warning sign in center of driver screen before shutting me out of UHF. This is second time I got this, first time being on way back from delivery day and I had no clue how hands free work!

Eye tracking seems to work better when I’m wearing sunglasses than it did previously.

Ok, I've seen the big red wheel maybe once in the 10 months I've had mine, most of the time I'm only getting to the nagging chime, so I'm not looking away long enough I guess to get the penalty box.

It's more forgiving when wearing sun glasses since it can't see where you eyes are looking as long as you don't tilt your head l, or at least this is my experience.

I hate the way the gauges screen looks now. Everything smaller and moved down to make space for the huge "towing" tab at the top.
