Hey guys, I apologize in advance, but I am really struggling with how this all works... (and I did try the search but was struggling to find direct answers). Please be kind, but talk to me like I am 5....

I recently decided to give up on a day one Cybertruck deposit so now looking at other options since my Silverado is leaving Friday... I have landed on a R1S with Green exterior and ocean interior. After that I get lost...

1) the Rivian Roamer site shows that this configuration is "available nationwide". If I order today Rivian says delivery in 1-6 weeks. Is that pretty accurate or will I just be waiting around?
2) Does anyone know which credit bureau they use? I work for a large city that was recently ransomwared and my credit files are all locked so I need to unlock something.
3) I am looking to lease for tax reasons. If I deposit today (and they can deliver in the next few weeks) how firm is the leasing amount on the screen? I don't want to get to the delivery day and they provide some outrageous number that no longer makes financial sense.
4) Not rough on vehicles, but do need a truck/ SUV to use as a dog hauler, am I going to hate this ocean interior?

For number 1: I just placed a shop order Tuesday, Richmond service center delivery expert called me later in the day and said that the vehicle should be in en route to Richmond today and delivered to them no later then end of next week. He keeps a 1 week buffer so scheduled me for the week of the 16th to go pick it up. Richmond I believe is still delivered by truck and not rail so may be faster than some west coast sites.

For number 2: I don’t know. I clicked to finance the remainder with chase and put in my information and had approval 32 seconds later. I just pulled up my credit monitoring tool and it shows 0 inquiries recently. So…

So, for me…

1. They initially said 4 weeks (was supposed to take delivery on Labor Day). Got a text last week, and picked it up this past Saturday
2. My lease was through Chase…not sure who they consulted.
3. The lease numbers for me were dead on. Probably because it was so close to when I ordered it
4. Can’t help you there…I got the dark interior…

While waiting for my R1T delivery...

1) It depends on where the vehicle is. Longer waiting time if shipping from the factory, shorter if the vehicle is already at the service center.
2) TU and Equifax. Chase is the lender.
3) The lease number varies a little but not much.
4) I have a dog and went with the black leather. Not sure how hard it is to clean the ocean interior.

1. It's pretty accurate
2. They use Chase, forget which CB they use
3. They will get you a final number afterwards
4. "Vegan leather" white holds up very well, you'll love it

Recently leased a Gen 2 FG/ocean R1S. Most people have answered your questions here. My estimated delivery time was 6 weeks and it came 1 week early. Lease numbers do not include tax on the site but came out lower pretax afterwards. I have a dog that sheds like crazy and the ocean coast interior actually seems to stay cleaner. Also shows sunscreen a lot less. I love the light interior. Everyone comments how beautiful the green is. You’ll love the car.

Some people report denim jeans staining their ocean coast interior. That should tell you which to not choose if you are concerned about staining.

So one could buy a vehicle from out of state if it says available nationwide? There was a thread where people said they tried to order an out of state vehicle from the shop but then was told they couldn’t. Coincidentally, that day a friend asked me if it’s possible because he was also finding conflicting answers.

Short answer, it depends.

For buying, there shouldn't be a reason you can't. Some guides don't want to deal with the headache, but if you are buying (not leasing) you should be able to. You will be responsible for transportation back home. That means arranging or driving it yourself.

Many have used RR to find, buy and lease vehicles out of state.

If it says nationwide it means it should be available from any postal code. Even if it's out of the state you definitely should be able to. Leasing gets a little wonky but you still can in some cases.
