2023 R1T Perf dual, max pack, off-road
Figured I should pop in and say hi. Been lurking for a few months before taking delivery of likely the last new 2023 R1T in late June. Max pack, performance dual, off-road package. Dealing with the typical QC issues, but it’s such a good vehicle overall it’s hard to be angry when Rivian has been so responsive. Just slightly annoyed waiting for that darn powered tonneau cover, lol.

Been a car geek forever and used to build high performance intake and exhaust parts for euro/JDM street and race cars, so basically none of my specific skills are useful on this beast…

That said, I had to do some mods, but it’s so well designed the list was pretty short:
Debadged the doors and R1T badge, because of course. Black Rhino wheels, also because of course. MPP Triple-L kit +4 front, +2 rear. Full PPF, front to back, top to bottom. Front driver and passenger tint to match the privacy glass, and roof tint that’s a little darker than I wanted. Yellow fog light PPF. AO Photochromic PPF over all lights (it’s pretty subtle). DCE sill guards installed and sliders on order. Debating on getting or building a gear tunnel slider kitchen at some point, that’s pretty much it.

Thanks for all the great ideas and info. Hope to eventually contribute something useful,
Josh

Great color choice I do have to admit! Love my El Cap!

one more suggestion is to ditch the worthless phone charger and go with an aftermarket pad that actually works. It’s simple but nice to know that phone is always charged

Thanks! The vast majority of my cars have been some shade of metallic grey (I’m basic AF), but the El Cap is a really special color. I love how blue it is.

And I forgot to mention I already did the wireless charger. I got the s00nish click and charge with Anker pucks, but I keep my phone in a thin-ish case and the Magsafe was so weak, I ended up cutting holes in the veneer and epoxying the pucks in fish with the face. Works way better now. I’ll post a pic in a bit.

Great additions...now the adventure is just beginning for you. I'll have my first towing experience tomorrow and will do a report on it. I'm curious to see how Artee will do towing his older and smaller brother to the shop (the Tesla Roadster) for some work on the cooling fans.

I'll be curious to see what your efficiency is with those nice looking meaty tires and the lift kit.

Thanks!

Those are the stock tires on the new wheels. Only change is 10mm less offset, which might hurt a little on the highway, but the stance is so much better so I’ll happily eat the small losses. In the couple weeks since changing wheels and putting the MPP kit on, I’m still getting 2.32m/kWH in about 50/50 city-highway in rural Colorado.

Nice ride ! Mine is still stock except for the door sill protection from Weistec, and the manuel tonneau from Interrobang while I wait for the electric tonneau included.

If you're interested in a Gear Tunnel Kitchen, I humbly suggest our Overland Kitchen and Gear Sled. We have lots of happy customers!

Yeah, I saw your kit when I was looking for inspiration. It looks really nice but it’s not in my budget.

I have some 60” locking sliders left over from another project and the rest is a few hours in cad and a few clicks away with Send-Cut-Send and a weekend with my Kitamura.
