This is an odd one that I can't seem to find any answers for by searching as anything involving a loose steering wheel involves the recall last year.

Anyway, I have easy exit/entry on. When I enter the vehicle and the steering wheel is done extending, if I grab it and pull down or put any force on it in a downward motion, it clicks and drops maybe a 1/4". Like it's not seated properly or it's loose at the top. Once I do this, it's not loose anymore so I can't click it back up or down anymore. It feels like it's getting more loose though as time goes by, meaning it gets easier to click down that little bit. I'm filing a ticket but wanted to see if anybody else was experiencing this and if they had theirs fixed.

You can hear it in the video although it's kind of hard to the movement.

Hopefully just some loose hardware/bolts that can be re-torqued.

My wheel is super tight in place, just for reference.

The click and drop you're talking about might have to do with the easy entry/exit feature. It could be a small adjustment thing or something with the mechanism.

Did you ever resolve this issue? I’m noticing the exact same thing on my new gen 2 R1T.

My Gen2 R1T does the same thing. It hasn't starting getting worse but I have less than 1k miles so far. I was going to have them look at it during my first 7500mi service.

Went in for service and they "replaced the column" although I'm skeptical of that as they said they replaced a bunch of other things in that visit that were clearly not replaced. It felt like they tightened something which helped the issue. Eventually it came back but not as bad as before. It's only slight now but still noticeable. Guessing there's a bolt or something in the column area that can be tightened more but I'm too lazy to look as it doesn't bother me as much.

FWIW it was bothering me a little too much so over the weekend I decided to change my comfort access wheel position to only move on the horizontal axis to avoid the problem. Its a work around but for me it works just as well.

I find it so strange that its only a problem with comfort access. I tried several positions with normal wheel adjustments and could not replicate the issue.

Thanks for the update.

Did the same but in my case, I completely disabled it and just move the seat in Comfort Access. Good idea though to just do the horizontal access.
