I picked up my Dune edition R1T with the paint matched wheels a couple weeks ago. There was sticker residue at the time of pickup and inspection but I figured it would be simple enough to get off. I’ve scrubbed at it with soapy water without luck. I hesitate to put any chemical on it like Goof-Off for fear of damaging the coat or paint. Any advice on how I should approach this? It’s on every wheel. Not a deal killer but I’d like to get it taken care of. Thanks and I realize this is a VERY first world problem.

Try rubbing some peanut butter on it with a piece of cotton rag. Honest! Peanut butter is very slightly abrasive and the oil keeps the residue from re-adhering. Should be safe.

Alcohol based tree sap remover gel. Gel because it doesn’t run like straight rubbing alcohol. Let it sit a little for alcohol to soften the adhesive, then wipe off. Repeat as needed. Goof Off is fine as long as you wipe it off and don’t let it pool and sit to eat paint.
