Still no notifications on Android

How is this possible? 1.5 years after the R1T launch and Android users (50% of the overall app downloads) still don't have basic notifications such as charging stopped, charging finished, alarm, etc. I just bugged Rivian customer service again and they said the same thing as back in June..."It's coming soon."

Maybe most Rivian/Android users don't even know the notifications exist. Maybe if more of us complained, we could get notifications like the iPhone has?

How do you turn them on? There's no settings for notifications in the app.

Rivian has notifications for certain things, like low range. I don't think they have anything for charging state yet, maybe on DC charging but it's so rare I am on them I can't remember.

Just search notifications in your settings menu and it'll lead you to the right section.

That is simply a "allowed" or "not allowed" and it is already on. There are no options in the app itself like iPhone has (and similar to Tesla's) to choose which ones you want.

As per Rivian themselves, the app does not support notifications. I really only need the charging updates ones (especially charging stopped).

I actually looked at the # of app downloads on each app store and they were almost the same. I was expecting to see 90/10 Apple/Android which might explain the lack of app features for Android.

I have the overall notifications on, but receive nothing. I even set off the alarm a month ago to see if I'd get something...and nothing happened after 15 seconds of the alarm going off.

I don't have the alarm activated, but I think the notifications come through under miscellaneous.

I don't think it's the car. I have a Pixel and I receive notifications.

I have charged 4 times since this post (after uninstalling and reinstalling the app). No notifications about charging at all. It just says "Not connected. Get closer to the vehicle to connect." If I am closing to the vehicle, it is connected, but still no notifications (not that I should have to be close to it to get them anyways.

Same issue on my wife's android phone (Pixel). Pretty frustrating that android users are getting ignored on this.
