Curious if anyone else is still in the "processing estimate" phase with their order? We ordered April '22. I know the July update was pushed to August and now that's come and gone. We were given access to the Shop, which is great, but we're down to one car and it's becoming a challenge with our kids' back in school, making us seriously consider giving up the reservation without knowing how much longer it could be.

Similar boat here. I had asked my guide when delivery estimate passed but didn't get much feedback besides they weren't building dual motor R1S's yet. I wonder if that's the issue is that the first in line for dual motor R1Ss are in a production limbo while they continue to pump out quad motor variants. I've been considering reaching out to ask either CS or guide if there will be an update or when to expect an update.

My Guide said he's going to check, but he's guessing the update might not be until October with the "normal" quarterly updates.

My guide told me mine was moved from Sept-Oct, to Still processing because I was given shop access.

I'm not 100% certain what the different "Statuses" are, but I'm on "Status: Configured, Estimated Delivery: Processing Estimate".

I've had delivery estimates each previous update. My previous one in April was "June-July 2023"... I have not yet been assigned a guide, so I contacted Customer Support, and they don't really know why I didn't get a new estimate.

One CS rep is supposedly working with some escalated help desk, but I've been told "expect a response mid September, but if you don't get a response then keep an eye out for a new estimate end of October" ?

Another CS rep speculated I live too far away from a service center (despite living in a state without legislative roadblocks), so Rivian won't even consider me as a valid delivery candidate as to not waste them time/money on potential vehicle servicing. ?

Just to clarify as well: I've had estimates the two previous quarterly updates. First was April-May 2023 then June/July 2023. I got R1 Shop access on June 6th 2023, and only saw it go to "Processing Estimate" when others did get quarterly update in the last 2-ish weeks.

I live within driving distance of the Rivian Plant in Normal (like 30 min drive), So Im pretty sure the service center availability/regional roadblocks dont apply. Again, just saying for references sake.

Lastly, my guide told me they would be updating everyone with Dual Motor R1S configurations "soon". So similar to other responses above but alot more vague. Sounds like maybe we will hear something this month... maybe not.

I have a LE R1S configured, which I reserved in March 2019. Mine has said "Processing Estimate" for months, and neither Max Pack nor Dual Motor could be holding it up since I don't have either. I also lost shop access a few weeks ago. I reached out to my guide on August 30 to make sure I would really get an updated estimate by the following day. He said he reviewed my order and that it is "essentially stuck in between two places", and that there's a VIN in production to which I am about to be matched once production is completed. That all sounds like great news, but they've told me that before, and it hasn't happened, so I'm not sure what to believe.

May 22 preorder. I've had August September delivery for a few months. Then briefly went to processing and then a week or so ago i got updated to september-october. They are also asking me to lock it in and I have NOT done that. I read on another post that people who have locked in have seen their delivery dates push way out - 8 think it said into 2024 but can't remember. It was on the cross shopping model X thread. But now theve committed their $1,000 and it's non-refundable. I've never heard from a guide and only knew I was being asked to lock it in because I was checking on my own for updates. It's .misleading because it says lock in configuration and then we'll get you ready for purchase and delivery which suggests to me that by committing you'll have a car in a few weeks.

August '22 preorder. I confirmed my configuration when they opened Dual Motor R1Ts but haven't moved from "processing estimate" either. When/where did y'all see your estimated delivery dates? My guide said that I was in the "soon as possible" window after asking about those delivery update emails that others got at the end of august.

For those who haven't heard from a guide, i'd recommend reaching out to customer service. When I talked to them about shipping a charger they let me know that I had a guide who might know more about my ordering process. I hadn't heard from them by that point but they were quick to respond when I emailed them first!

I received my first window with the jan-23 updates. At that time I had a march-april window. Then it got pushed back to july-august. Now I'm back to processing estimate.

I reached out to my guide and they said all estimates went out end of August so she reached out to the engineers to let them know. She also said similar configs as mine have been getting new estimates from between now and end of the year.

My config is a R1S glacier white, large pack, quad motor, pure ocean coast interior (not the dark wood one), with 21" wheels.

I'm hoping not having an estimate means a VIN is forthcoming but I'm fully prepared to have a date that got pushed (again) into next year.
