Very cool! Do you just have the dish plugged into the outlet in the bed?

I would love to see a mobile mounted version!

Had a Gen 2 starlink and powering off 12v was no problem.

I‘m also waiting for the day that Starlink is allowed for vehicles in motion! I did add a mount to the top of our Sprinter camper van to help avoid obstructions while boondocking. love the potrability now that Starlink has an RV plan (pay more for worse service)

Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer - just trying to understand.

I just got 184 Mbps down and 15 Mbps up on T-Mobile 5G on my iPhone 14 Pro, which can also be a hot spot without an ugly dish in the bed.

What's so great about Starlink? Just greater coverage area than 5G?

Coordinated roadtrip charging stops with work meetings. Starlink delivering 141 Mbps made the time fly by.

For how little power the Starlink hardware needs, and now offering a mobile pricing option (what a racket) seems like easy stuff to offer a bracket to hold the wifi box and a small battery without all the permanent install cabling.

I was getting over 250Mbs (don't recall the uplink). There are several campsites we have been to with no Tmobile service (Gardner, Inks Lake).

It works in the sorts of places that don't have 5G services.

yes, Rivian hotspots works great in places where it has coverage... no different than hotspotting with my phone. In this case was just testing starlink on the road but my real use case for Starlink is boondocking in locations that i can‘t work from without it.
