StowNCharge without lid - feedback / any interest?

Hi, I'm toying with the idea of a lidless StowNCharge (would use a diff name). Is this appealing to anyone? I think I like how it looks overall.

Tray is a little more finished in this version as it's always visible. Not sure felt is the best option for the bottom... maybe grippy style rubber (removable maybe?).

The sliding lid is very far from the camera bump so not an issue .

I have the original with the cover, so I am not part of your potential market for this one, but I would have had a very hard time deciding between the two. I think I would have gone with the cover anyway, but this one does look nice. I don't know what price difference you might be able to support, but if this version can be a bit cheaper, it might have a little bigger market.

I agree that felt without a cover is probably a bad idea. If you can get a removable rubber base, that's probably ideal. You don't want anything that might allow sliding or rattles.

Is the depth the same on existing vs. lidless prototype?

Just curious. Own 2 of the original for both of my Rivians and couldn’t be happier.

I just want to add that you make very fine products and feel that there is a market for both. I love mine with the lid and have enjoyed using it on a trip. Just want to add that his support is first rate. I had an issue with a missing part. I contacted him by email and heard back immediately and the part was shipped to me the same day. Great product, great service. I highly recommend any of his products.

I have your original stuff and it’s a total game changer - great work! The lidless one isn’t of much interest to me though. Your one with the lid is really unique and a fantastic product.

I prefer my covered one

but instead of felt material for the open one a removal-able rubber so it’s easily removed to be cleaned instead of having to vacuum the felt one

Yes, it’s on hold for now. I’d like to make some improvements for various reasons. I can’t say exactly when that will be though.

Is there a way to get a more rubbery coating/surface on the adventure mat? Even wondering if one could reuse the oem one or if there is a sticker / vinyl to make it less slippy.
