Hi all,
Does anyone have the R2 sub-trunk dimensions, particularly the deeper area near the rear?

Curious if any coolers might fit in there. I have an electric cooler that fits in my R1S, but I know the R2 sub-trunk is a bit smaller. Thanks!

The deepest area is pretty small, can't imagine a a cooler fitting.
Queued to Kyle showing the subtrunk.

An electric fridge/freezer will be one of my first purchases when we get our R2 - like you, we have one in our R1S and it's become just too handy to live without. We've got our R2 test drive on Wednesday and I'm planning to measure the subtrunk then, but will wait until we take delivery to actually buy one. Like I did when I bought one for the R1S (R1S Subtrunk Fridge), I'll get the biggest unit I can find that fits. One difference...When I was looking for our R1S I didn't care about Bluetooth control of the fridge. I've since changed my mind on that...I rarely need to adjust the temperature after I've turned it on, but being able to confirm that it IS on would be a plus!

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.

I asked this question myself a few weeks back. These two crazy characters really explore the interior space. The one guy, who I think is 6’2”, sits in the space where the spare tire goes and puts his legs in the sub trunk. It’s deep, but doesn’t appear very wide. I think a frunk-based cooler would be better, especially if you have a spare tire and charging equipment in the back. I think the frunk is kind of shallow though and would need a custom build.

yeah, compared to R1 the frunk is shallow, narrow front-to-back, and the floor isn't flat. I'll be checking out R2 again on Thursday but from what I recall I doubt any useful hardsided cooler would fit up there.
