No. A device sure, not just a phone.Don't these solutions require access to a phone to contact another party?
I'm glad I don't live in such a state of worry and fear.

We go off-roading in the desert, high desert, or mountains where there is no cell service pretty frequently. Given that, I simply don't see how your solution helps.No. A device sure, not just a phone.

We have a thorough off-road kit for adventure, too, which stays in our garage under normal circumstances. Unless GM changed something recently, I don’t see how they opened your friend‘s Hummer in a location remote enough to lack cell service. If I’m adventuring my kit is very different from day to day usage. The latter was the context of this thread. That said, a friend did have his Hummer opened remotely in the middle of nowhere once, which was surprising. For being in the middle of nowhere, I have a satellite communicator, ham radio, and an extra key/fob. Different potential problem.
What kind of phone do you have?
Could Rivian customer support remotely open the door, after you verify your identify of course? Not sure that helps you start up the car or not.
I work in Tech and I had the card in my wallet on day 1. So many things can happen physically or mentally to the phone or app.
Phone and keycard seem to present to different sensors on/in the Rivian.Stupid question: "So having both your phone and the Keycard with you won't interfere with access to the car?".I dont have the R1T yet.....so that is why I ask.
