Terrible First experience with Mobile Service

Could you please post a picture of the front of your windshield, showing the location of the rain sensor? I'm guessing the sensor is working, as confirmed by Rivian tech, but it's not making contact with the windshield to know if it's raining.

OP-I had a similar issue with the Drive Cam. It worked fine when I got the car new but after a few updates something went wrong. I had two mobile techs come by and look at it. The first one said t replace the external drive. I bought about five different drives and it didnt help. The last tech put in a ticket to have the SC look at it. They had to replace a "module" and now the DC seems to work.

Call Rivian and set up a SC appointment. All the best.

Windshield is original (I thought the same thing) as it's a Rivian windshield and they have no record if it being replaced, but even if it was would have been at a Rivian SC.

Same manufacturer, Fuyao. No Rivian logo doesn't mean it doesn't work, they just printed different logos on the bottom corner. There are at least 4 of us here with Safelite replaced glass, no wiper issues reported.

I'm correcting your claim that it must go to SC for replacement, that part is not true.

Never claimed that, but if it makes you feel better, good on you. I claimed it wasn't replaced because it was OEM glass and Rivian had no record of replacement.

My R1S is now in service in Hamilton NJ. They’ve had it a day already with no updates and only 2 minor issues to resolve. Not loving the Rivian ownership experience so far, got to be honest. Had to wait a month for the appointment and then it takes multiple days for something I should have been able to wait for.

Day 3; update the reason the automatic wipers were not working is that the Auto Wiper Feature was turned off. Now they are saying there is an issue with the wiring harness and I still cannot pick it up. Have owned this truck for about a month and already considering selling it...
