I agree. It's appropriate on days that end in Y.Sometimes vitriol is appropriate!
The very notion that something has FSD in the name but then you have to provide excuses for why it is inferior to some *new* version is absurd. To be fair that is a HW3 vehicle that is constrained to an earlier version of FSD than HW4 vehicles. So you may wish to understand there are rather large differences in performance between v12 HW3 and v13 HW4 versions and even between v12 and v13 iterations.
You can’t even compare it to what Rivian has because they’re not even playing the same game at this stage. Driving my gen 1 Rivian feels like driving an ICE TBH. It’s quaint and interesting with no more promises of future updates forthcoming.
There are plenty of people using FSD these days with little to no drama even if it still demands regular attention. I can attest it is far safer than any other system I’ve ever used.
There's no question that he's a lying weasel. Or possibly, so far up his own asshole that he believes his fabrications and he's not consciously lying. Or both."FSD" is and has been a complete scam filled with shifting dates and empty promises.
He is on record pushing engineers to release versions that they didn't think were safe and he has lied about capabilities when doing demos in the past. I simply don't trust the tech. There's no question that he's a lying weasel. Or possibly, so far up his own asshole that he believes his fabrications and he's not consciously lying. Or both.
That doesn't change the functionality or how the actual system works. AP is still a big improvement in driver comfort and safety, without even getting to the FSD stage. You can note that without making excuses for Musk's behavior.
