Tesla usually has more stalls than EA and that is a reason to use them. I hate waiting for a charger. The disadvantage is sometimes we have to take up two stalls to charge. If either end is open, I can usually park in such a way to only take one space.
When we first got access to the superchargers that was the case of having to use two spaces. Now between the new v4 pedestals and the repainting of lines on the older v3 pedestals I didn’t have to take up 2 spaces at any stop. It was nice.
Ccs in general is a more capable plug standard which is why it won in the EU. Here in America we are still messing with to many plugs including now gbt that is becoming prevalent in central America. So much short-sightness.Betamax was superior.

That is great. Hopefully they all get adjusted so we only take up one spot. I try pretty hard to be courteous and only take up one spot if at all possible. I would say I only have taken up two spots 25% of the time I charged at a Tesla station. Some have short cables so that makes it harder. Also it would be nice if Tesla would update their older chargers across SD. Right now the only option is EA. If EA is not working it would be impossible to cross SD on I90. While EA is usually reliable it would be advantageous to have another option.
Ah, just crossed SD on I-90 by using only Tesla just less than a week ago. Actually ended up using only Tesla from MN to north of Seattle 130 miles.
I would agree Tesla is the most reliable network. I really like the plug and charge. It is faster. That is the biggest disadvantage of EA is it takes longer to start charging with the app. If EA had plug and charge and just billed you when you used it. It would be much better. I have probably three or four apps with money in my account to charge. That is the way most are currently set up. IT would be nice if all of them were plug and charge.
In a Rivian or a Tesla? None of the chargers show as being open to non tesla along I90?
Sorry, I misspoke, as I just checked all the Tesla chargers billed to my Rivian account. We deviated north, through Fargo, on I-94 and dropped back down at Billings. Here is the list of Tesla chargers used on I-94 and I-90. Wisconsin Dells, WI, Altoona, WI, Alexandria, MN, Jamestown, ND, Dickinson, ND, Glendive, MT. Then Miles City, Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Missoula, St Regis, all in MT.
