The Service Center Adventure Begins

Not exactly how I thought my first two weeks would go but my 9 day old R1S started getting Suspension Warnings. Support suggested that I do an infotainment restart and if that didn't work, do a full reboot of the car. Neither worked. Also tried to deep sleep it and same suspension error. Having had an early Tesla Model 3, I'm used to issues with these cars but 9 days...Unfortunately, the car has some trim pieces not being secured and the bluetooth connection being spotty. SC said they could deal with the suspension issues but the others will push the car to the back of the line and I could be without a car for some time. Doesn't seems like the best they could do for a $90,000 car. Let the adventure begin.

My R1S is just as old. I haven’t seen anything error msgs yet. ?

Based off my experience it won't be the last time you visit the service center.
Unfortunately QC is not great at Rivian and you will probably have to take it
in multiple times to get it sorted out. I had to take mine in 3 times to get the
front suspension sorted out! And even then they sprayed something on my
that I'm still trying to have professionally removed.....

Yeah, I'm not that impressed with the quality so far and it's only been 9 days. The call in service has been ok but their execution of dealing with issues seems to be a bit of an issue. Every person that i've talked to at Rivian seems to understand that they're not there yet but their hands are tied. They're packed at the service centers, I believe there are some parts supply issues and so on...

I picked up my R1T on May 18/24. I haven't been back 10,000 miles. Good luck, and I hope your issue gets resolved ASAP!

Sorry to hear of your issues. Rivian service folks are great...they are overwhelmed currently and they need more locations to open up. The quality of Rivian vehicles is honestly much better the others but being a relatively new manufacturer they will have issues here and there. Service requires patience right now. Hang in there and Rivian will make it right for you.

Some what normal for Gen 2 cars coming out recently. Took delivery of my 2025 R1S in September. Had a bunch of minor issues and one major on delivery (driving stability). Service had the car for about 2 weeks but got the major issue fixed for now and most of the minors.

I am a little hesitant on recommending the car at this point. I previously had 3 Teslas which had minor cosmetic issues on delivery but nothing major.

On the bright side, they put me in a Land Rover Defender, I know Land Rovers have issues too. I find it has a similar ride to the R1S with some better tech, I was never an apple car play fan boy but the Defender has it and it is flawless.

I forgot to mention that my car has the bluetooth cutting out issue as well. I thought it was due to the latest software, but if it is hardware, please let us know! I have Premium Audio btw.

Day 19 of R1S ownership. 8 days at the service center. No word other than they're working on my car. I have purchased numerous new cars in my day and have never had a car that needed service a week into ownership. So far Rivian is a huge disappointment.
