Will be taking the R1S on auto train down to florida next month and wanted to know if there's anything I should be aware of specific to our car. I believe they'll leave the key fob in the car but will that keep the AC and infotainment running? Want to make sure it doesn't draw too much power during the 17 hour trip.

I would suggest giving them the card instead of the FOB as it will eventually let the truck go to sleep

Will the doors lock if they leave the card inside?

They shouldn't as you would need to swipe the card on the outside handle to lock it. When my truck had to be towed once Rivian told me to leave the keycard in the car and when the tow truck called me to remote unlock the truck.

Got it. Still have functionality I need to figure out with all these ways to access the vehicle.

Hello, am thinking of trying out the auto train to get the truck down to FL and wondering if you went thru with it last year and any surprises/concerns. Thanks,

Yes. No issues at all. Just make sure you give them the key fob and not the card.

Did you have any issues with your trip? I wanted to take my R1S to florida and the width they allow for is 84 with mirrors and the R1S is 87 with mirrors.

Took the car from Florida and back. They drove it right in without folding the mirrors.

why the FOB over the card? I have never used the fob and if i take it then it means i will have to carry it for the whole 2 week trip. I love not gave to have a fob in my pocket anymore.

Why keep it in your pocket? I keep my FOB in my truck all the time so that I have it if I need it. Just take the battery out.

I did a reverse trip from Orlando to Lorton and back staying a week in the NE on a motorcycle trip. They are professionals, palletized the bike and I got on the train. Steak dinner, some drinks and a movie and I went to sleep. Woke up in Lorton, VA, got on the bike and toured VT, NH, MA, MI and did the reverse.
