There are rumors that they will be included in the Adventure package but we will probably have to wait a few months to confirm. I'd love to be able to save $2k and drop the off road package.

I believe the adventure pack comes with tow hooks now. Tow hooks were added to the adventure pack as standard during the March 1st changes. I wanted to confirm that this change applied to Launch Edition since it wasn’t clear, even though Launch Editions are adventure packs.

Makes sense. I think what I am wondering is similar -- it's still not 100% clear (to me) that the tow hooks come with pre-price raise Adventure without triggering the new pricing or adding the off road package. Although if I had to guess, it seems likely they will just include tow hooks now to simplify the production line until Explore packages start getting made.

I also wonder if the off road package will affect delivery times.

I’m curious about schedule impact as well. Almost seems like they are making moves to reduce the number with this option. First they removed it from standard, dropped the price by 2k and had it as a 2k option. There was a lot of people wanting the tow hooks but not necessarily the one extra plates and now they offer the hooks as standard and an option on the explore package.

If anyone has access to their guides, can you ask what if any impact dropping the Reinforced Underbody Shield has on build schedules?

Would be great to save the 2k if there is no impact, especially if it might help with deliveries.

During my ride along in a First Drive last week, I asked her specifically if the tow hooks would be part of the Adventure package for those of us with preorders at the original pre March 1st pricing. She emphatically said that was a yes.

When going over my configuration, the first thing I asked my Guide is if I could drop the Off Road package and not affect delivery timing. He said if I did drop it, it would impact the delivery. I didn't follow up with any other questions, such as how much longer, etc. I've already waited over 3 years and I'm not willing to wait any longer, so I confirmed my vehicle as configured.

What took place with me though, is no reason not to ask your Guide, as circumstances may have changed.

I didn’t ask about the Adventure packs pre-price increase, but assume the tow hooks will be included. I think you are right. The tow hooks are included to simplify production.

Does anyone have a definitive answer as to what the off-road package shielding offers in practice? I know we have some recent photos of the truck without the package and that others have stated that the difference is not visible (Ie sandwiched between the standard exterior shielding and the battery). I have not gotten any responses from cs other than the canned “it adds an extra layer of protection”. Their marketing says it extends farther over the underside of the car so I thought it would be a visible difference, but apparently not? Would be great to get specs from rivian (Ie psi ratings or crack tip shielding data) but we will probably never see that info. Thx in advance for any info. It may have been covered in other pictures in the forum.
