Maybe the Rivian algorithm assumes multiple reservations from the same identity were being made in order to flip vehicles for profit, or otherwise abuse the reservation program, since transfers are not allowed. Pushing out the order window makes it unlikely there will be demand for flipped vehicles by that time, or at least that there will be any price premium in doing so.
Soon, I will cancel four of my reservations, keeping one for myself since my family members and a friend have decided to hold off for now, and see if it adjusts my window.
